I’ve been beat down, stepped on, called names and spit on
And everything I tried to do right, was called wrong…

And these were people in my family
No wonder you see demons when you’re lookin’ at me
All of the wicked things I once did become
The pain I should’ve left where I came from

But I’ve carried it a little too far with me
I took all of my troubles to the bar with me
And tried to drink ’em away just like my father did
As I watched him beat my mother when I was just a kid

I also smoked some love, and took some pills
With a little bit of acid to spike my thrills
And I was livin’ insane, on the edge and far gone
But then I stumbled into life and learned to hold on…

Blame the world if you wish,

I can see the past so brightly
Almost just as clear as the day right before me
Reminiscing as I’m dreaming
I don’t know should I laugh or cry from what I’m seeing

I have learned a lot from this
but it’s also spawned an anger that’s translated through my fists
And, it’s followed me so long
I’ve been in and out of jail for doing others wrong

A completely violent human being
Knockin’ people out even before I could see ’em
I thought, when will it end?
I was making enemies of all my freinds

Still, I chose to blame
Everyone else except my name
Until the question came
Do I wanna live the rest of my life this way?
