Hakeem,
I really like this. The haunting melody, the minor chords, and the lyrics portray a disturbing story most of us have never experienced. Love and blessings to the men and women in the armed forces for their sacrifices and all that they do.

Thanks for listening Gaby! I am often able to write this type of lyrics and assume the feelings of what could be viewed as a fictional character; but somehow the songs choose me. As if they are autonomous -having a life of their own, choosing me as the instrument of expression.

This poem is full of hope for me. Unresolved Snowflakes also makes me feel like when things get complex it feels good to regress back to simplicity, which in a sense, we should never divert far from in the first place. (Love the title by the way!)

My dearest friend,
There is an aphorism that I love:

When the elephant walks by, the dogs nip at his feet.

Every great teacher and thinker in the world has had his credibility challenged and even worse. Many have paid with their lives for their beliefs. Jesus, Osho, Columbus, Gandhi, Kennedy...the list goes on and on.
Persecution is the way of the masses, those who fear Truth and resent the in-dwelling, apparent peace of the seeker/thinker/teacher.
You soar way beyond and above the masses. I love you and never doubt for a moment what you can and will accomplish in this incarnation.

This poem touches on light and dark...kind of even gives me a sense of good and evil..how they are opposites and yet co-exist...I also get a sense of contemplation...like we don't know whats to come in the far off future but somehow we must prepare for it...whatever beliefs we hold and process our experiences through....a shadow starts where the light is blocked, so if one keeps the sun directly above there is little or no shadow around(interesting concept symbolically).
